Wii price reduction ?
Does the recent Wii price reduction mean that Nintendo will be coming out with a newer Wii console? If so, when?
Nope. There won’t be a new Nintendo/Wii console until at least 2012.
The reason the Wii had a price drop was because both the Xbox 360 and PS3 had a price drop. Nintendo wanted to make sure their console was the cheapest, because if it is, then there will be more sales.
The Wii is already doing so well, so I wouldn’t expect Nintendo to release any ideas just yet.
