Is the 4.2U update safe to download, even on an unmodded Wii?
I’ve heard that there’s a small chance that downloading the 4.2 update can brick even an unmodded Wii.
Has the issue been fixed? Is it safe to download now? Is there really any point to the update, other than to remove mods?
There is a small chance that the Wii will get bricked. I updated mine a week ago and had no issues. If it does get bricked, Nintendo will fix it for free, so either way, you are covered.
